Sometimes, churches give really bad answers to really good questions.

We seek a deeper engagement and a more beautiful truth.

We both grew up in church. Good churches. Loving, communal, and truth-oriented churches. We grew up and moved away and learned more and studied and started jobs and had families. Through it all we stayed connected to the church, but we wrestled. We asked hard questions that had to do with God, the Bible, Jesus, the Church, science, and the world we experienced. And we found that the answers we received didn’t always, well, answer the question. At least not well. So we started seeking better answers. We have found better answers to some of our questions. But even more important, we have found that pursuing these hard questions has brought us into a greater appreciation of the mystery of who God is and the beauty of the world He created. We invite you to join us as we experience the wonder and beauty of a Creator God who rejoices in being found and isn’t afraid of hard questions.

Our most recent posts are listed below. At the bottom of the page are links that describe our larger perspective. And if you still want more head over to our Wonderings page to see what questions we’ve been pondering. Then let us know what you are wondering. We’d love to hear from you!

“Without the ability to question and doubt, we end up worshiping an idol of our own creation, rather than the transcendent living God of all creation.”
